Krista Wallace

Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

Krista's enthusiasm for personal finance has deep roots.

In fact, her passions were first cultivated through a local 4-H program in her rural, West Virginia hometown. As her interest grew, she looked for opportunities to learn more about various aspects of personal finance how to have an impact in the field. She began to understand the profoundly devastating effects that poor financial decision-making could have both on individuals and families, as well as on local communities. This empowered her to become an advocate for financial planning and eventually propelled her into the profession.

Krista believes that financial planning must be practical but also personal. She enjoys developing genuine relationships with her clients, understanding their unique aspirations, and helping their dreams for their families become realities. (And hopefully having a lot of fun and laughs along the way!)

Krista holds an M.S. in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University and a B.A. in Business and Economics from Wilson College. Before joining SoundView, Krista worked extensively within the military community in various roles within the Financial Counseling and Planning fields: supporting single service members, families, veterans, and retirees. She also has experience in tax preparation and nonprofit finance.

Krista has two children who continue to fuel her passion. She returned "home" to the Tacoma area in 2018.
